GRS Trainer Privacy Policy

GRS Trainer ("the App") is a basketball training app designed for young athletes. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect the following:
- Username — chosen by the user, used for account login
- Display name — a first name or nickname (e.g. "Jake") used within the app
- Password — stored as a one-way encrypted hash; we cannot read your password
- Age — optional; used only to personalize your training level if provided
- Training session data — drills completed, reps logged, time per drill, and session duration
- Drill completion history — which drills have been completed and when
- Custom drills and custom sessions — any drills or workout sessions you create within the app
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, location, or payment information.
How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your session
- To display your training history and progress within the app
- To personalize drill recommendations based on your age (if provided)
- We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or marketing
- We do not sell or share your data with any third parties
How Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (supabase.com), a cloud database service. Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not have independent rights to your data. Data is stored in the United States.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all of your personal data — including your profile, training sessions, drill completions, and custom content — is permanently deleted within 24 hours. This deletion is irreversible.
Your Rights
- Access: You can view all of your training data within the app at any time
- Deletion: You can delete your account directly in the app under Account Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing mike.stienstra@gmail.com
- Correction: Contact us at the email below to correct any inaccurate data
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
GRS Trainer is designed for use by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- Children's accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent
- We do not show advertising to children
- We do not share children's data with third parties
- Age is an optional field and is used solely for training personalization
- Parents may request deletion of their child's account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at mike.stienstra@gmail.com
Third Parties
We use Supabase as our database provider. No other third-party services have access to your data. We do not integrate with advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media services.
Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored or transmitted in plaintext. We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access.
